what happened to summer????

We had a "high" temp of 62 degrees today in west MI!. My son even brought out his Carhart to sit tonight to watch the grandstand event at the fair tonight. Corn is looking at least two weeks late due to all the cool weather this summer. July was the second coolest on record and Aug has been cool as well. They are even talking about frost warning in a day or so. Also lots of rain this summer.

What has the weather been like this summer in your neck of the woods. Sure does not look like global warming is having an effect on us.

I would like to hear any freeze damage reports on soybeans. Here in Kansas we're looking at a bumper crop and any info could help in marketing strategy. Seems we producers are always two steps behind the day traders.

In south central Pa, we have had alot of rain it seems. The temps have been pretty mild too, rarely over 85. I think we had 1 day over 90.

Hottest July on record in South Texas and we know a thing or two about hot July's.  It burnt the already dry grass to a crisp.  There were something like 50 straight days that topped 100.

Here in iowa its been really cool and raining all the time this summer. Today its 63 degrees F

I don't' know; but I'm glad it's almost gone down here in southeast Texas.

too hot, allergies, bugs.

We've had about average temperatures , but less than average rainfall, . I know this morning I had a sweatshirt on while feeding and was still shivering. It was in the lower 50's

Here in Southern Saskatchewan, we have had the coolest summer I can ever remember. I heard that we have now had 8 months in a row of below normal temps, which is the first time in recorded history that this has happened. The weather people were forecasting a hotter than normal summer, but they were very wrong. In my next life, I think I will come back as a weather predictor. It is the only job I know of where you can be wrong constantly and still never get fired. Al Gore added to his fortune, by scaring the public with his global warming gunk. Now there are reports that the world has actually started to cool.... hmmmm, I wonder if Mr Gore will give back the millions he made? Don't bother responding, as I think I already know the answer.

It looks like the next week will be above normal temps for this time of year, which will help the grain crops mature. Everything is 2-3 weeks behind here, and we need some frost free days yet. Lots of combines running today on Canola, Lentils and peas. There will be spring hard wheat combined before the end of the week.

I was noticing today, that the cattle are hairing up already and the birds are starting to flock. Does this mean an early winter? I hope not!

I was out fencing saturday and it was cooking hot for us this time of year, I believe they were calling for 33C, saw the first flock of Canadian Geese and they were heading south, Wasn't a good feeling!

We are only about 100 miles south of you & this has been a very dry summer here. But has been the coolest summer I can remember.
Of course now we have had over 8 inches of rain the past two weeks.
