My daughter's show heifer (cow) calved a month ago and we would like to AI her this time. We really like her but know we need to use a bull that is know to produce calves on the short side of the scale.  The cow is pretty big (54 inches tall and 1750 lbs prior to calving). Thinking about using an Irish Whiskey son. Which son(s) do you recommend? At first glance, I like Frisky Whiskey due to his dam being out of Ali. We have a cow that we showed a few years back that milks like a Holstein and she was sired by an Ali son.

Afterhours - Irish Whiskey x Dr Who/Imprint.  THF and PHAF.  included a pic of Afterhours and a daughter out of an I Am Legend that is similar to your cow.

Cow would appear to have more forerib and a deeper chest floor than the bull does. That's a nice cow I think you can find a better bull to use.

I consider 54" pretty average size.

Thanks for the replies.  Since I haven't done a blood test to verify she isn't a THF carrier, I am trying to find an Irish Whiskey son bull that is THF free.
