The bulls that hadn't gotten a vote, have successfully been eliminated. We will go until Monday, April 11 for the next series of voting. So vote on the new set of bulls, for the best bull. The bulls that don't get any votes during the voting period, will then be eliminated. The voting will go one until there is one bull left.
                                                                                          Thanks,

Sugar Ray is still the king of club calves.  if you look at what he did without the help of clones it is simply amazing.  he was clean and just kicked butt.  I cannot believe he is not on this list.

I think it is hard to choose best bull ever but for shorthorns dividend and improver did alot when they first came over but i think trump and sonny have changed the breed alot because there arent many ones that win that dont go back to one of them. but i would say if you had to choose a bull for overall my pick is who made who. he was a game changer when he first came out and are still plenty good ones out there. many ai bulls either go back to him either on the dam or sire side

Everything that you've said is true, but there are sure a whole bunch of crippled club calves that trace right back to the same bull that we call WMW also IMO.

CAB i completely agree that alot of crippleds do trace back to WMW but i really think that if he was used on a solid functional cow the calves were pretty sound even tho alot of them had a smaller hoof then what i would like to see but i agree with the crippleds but i just think he did alot of good when he was first introduced and in previous years

I find it somewhat unbelievable anyone in the club calf business for anytime would not put Sugar Ray on this list.  You really think that Mitty in Focus, dream on, smithbilt, powerplay, ext,  and even heatwave did more than Sugar Ray?  He did it on his own without clones.  Heatwave females are crap.  Sugar Ray females are still in production and could raise a calf and his sons won every major show in the country at least once. His sons did the same. Bobby May sold over $1 million in semen on Sugar Ray when no other bull had ever done half of that.

We must have people with short memories are primarily high school kids doing this but that is my 2 cents.

people try and impose a phenotype of a yesteryear bull on today's standard when comparing bulls.  it's not really fair.  for all time club calvies, i'll still take an ildeno x soggy amerifax.  seen too many in the era of sugar ray's early years to not be impressed by ildeno.  he didn't work all the time, but when he worked, the calves were long, thick, stylish.  they probably looked better as feeder calves than fat cattle.  their era ended just when the shorter ones just began so the cattle were all over the place.

myerscattle I don't think anywere it said they had to be calf club bulls. I would be fairly sure a bull like EXT has sold $1 million plus and has had a huge impact on the Angus breed as many of the bulls listed have in their respective breeds.

Same with Dream On, as well as several others on that list, as well as some who are missing...some WELL OVER $1 million...

which major steer shows did dream on and ext sired calves win? sugar ray has scoreboard on them...remember this is STEERPLANET not angus planet or f1 planet...

then Sugar Ray produced Full Throttle and Full Flush not to mention hundreds of others which led to Friction etc.

two lines of major show winners came from either sugar ray or total power....what did total power lead to?

MC, what is the original question...as well as the title of this thread?    Yes, this is SteerPlanet, but last time I checked, breeding stock was also considered on topic too.

Now that the bulls that didn't get a vote, successfully got a eliminated. Now here is the catch. The bulls that stay have to get a minimum of 3 votes. So if they have 3 or more votes they get to stay but the one who don't.... get eliminated.
