I have my own definition of a low birth weight bull but I hate stating my own opinion and not meeting everyones expactions.  So I'm curious as to how many calves need to be born at a low birth weight for you to define a bull as a constant low birth weight thrower?  Last year was the first calf crop out of our promotion bull See-N-Starz.  We breed him to PB Angus, Simm/Angus, Shorthorns, Shorthorn Plus, Maines, Mainetainers PB Simmis, Chi, and cross breeds.  Obviously we didn't have very many out of each breed but the result was basically the same.  Last year the largest calf was 80 lbs.  This year we have had 7 so far and the largest one is about 75lbs.  I will admit we haven't physically put each one on the scales but go by size and how they feel as we carry them to the barn.  I have made up my mind I am going to breed him to my heifers this year, but I don't want to be that owner that is promoting a bull as a low birth weight bull just b/c he had a lower birth weight himself.  Any and all opinions would be helpfull.

Thanks
