What would be a good Simmental bull to use on moderate framed Angus cows to get that clubby look?

We are showing a Dream Catcher heifer out of a moderate framed angus cow that we really like. We have a Rendition thats a week old that shows some promise as well. I have heard High Regard works very well on Angus cows as well as Fat Butt. You have lots of options.

Card Uproar looked very good at stud last weekend, I would give him some consideration as well.

Thanks. Gary89 dream catcher is a good idea, and I looked up the Card Uproar and liked him too. Id like to see some calves out of him. Thanks again

I had a few Renditions last year, and one of them in particular was fairly nice. She did well last summer and will be shown again this year as a senior yearling. I also like Built Right on either Angus or Simmental cows to make functional, sound cattle with some eye appeal.

I suspect there will be several Upgrade sons to choose from that will be along the lines of what you're looking for. The Uproar bull looks as good as any of them to me in his pictures, but I've never seen him. A lot of the bulls on your list will no doubt have either Dream On, Upgrade, or Meyer 734 in the pedigrees...that's your basic short list of Simmy bulls that do well in the show ring. Not to say there aren't more bulls out there that will sure work...I'm just gonna go out on a limb and guess you'll be seeing several with those names in the pedigree somewhere.

Are you looking for a purebred or percentage bull?

I'm not stuck on a PB I just want a calf that's not worthless if it doesn't turn out to be a show calf. If that makes sense.

Everybody has given me some good ideas. Ive been looking each one up. Thanks for the input.

Upgrade sure makes them fancy. Used him on big powerfull cows and ugly angus cows and darn nice calves. Waiting on one due couple days ago out of a Combination 3/4 cow that has been making fancy bulls.

3/4 blood bull that works really good is Sheriff Taylor. 3C Macho x WMW (Aunt Bea) I love that calves out of him. Just wish he was homo polled.
