I was just curious what everyone thought of the winners at JR Nationals in Murfreesboro.

I thought Callis did an awesome job sorting cattle all day. I really didn't have one in the hunt, but i followed him all day. Pattern stayed very true from the classes i saw. Thought Douglas got a little mixed up at times.

In the High %'s I thought Bucks heifer was good but not the best. Thought the Humphries heifer looked good, really liked the Chamberlin Heifer, i had to appreciate the volume of the Jones heifer, Braun heifer from K & A was nice, and I liked our Bushy Park Heifer as well, but i am a little biased.

It was sure Hot and I am glad to be home.

Would love to see the pictures, do you know where they are located?  Would someone post who the winners were for those of us that weren't there.  Thanks
I've never figured out how Angus can post class placings along with pictures as the show happens, but it takes forever to find out who won from the other breeds.

He didn't get mixed up, he just has to make sure he finds all his buddies.

We put sprinklers on top of the barns in Denton, TX, 1992 AJMAA.  The high all week was never under 100.

It was probably the hardest decision we have ever made and we batted it back and forth until the very last day!  We hadn't entered because with the economy Earl had decided he would have to stay home, with the cost and distance from home we just decided not to go this year, it was one of those deals that work out for the best in the long run, my father-in-law passed away the week before after a weeks stay in hospice, his funeral was on Saturday so we really wouldn't have been prepared to go anyway.  You can't imagine how much we missed being there, already looking forward to next year, the Iowa group always does such a nice job!

I'm really sorry to hear about the cicmstances, but isn't it inspiring to see how God always works things out for the best?

That's correct!  I believe they are calling it "Summer Splash 2010" and it will be held in Spencer, IA(NW Iowa) at the Clay County Fairgrounds(nice facilities).  I think the dates are June 19th through the 25th.

Becca Chamberlin with the Ali X 701p heifer she bought from Bushy Park Farms won the futurity show. The alexander kid won Reserve with the heifer from Troy Jones.

The winner is a flush mate to the new bull Mercedes Benz.

Mainetainer show I can not remember. I am pretty sure that Charlie wilson did not win it however.
Kinda interesting the big change in cattle on top in the futurity vs. the National show. Grand Heifer on Saturday didn't even make it out of class.
