whats the cheapest and best way to feed a show steer?

whats the cheapest and best way to feed a show steer? last year i fed my steer corn silage with a mixture of distillers hay and mineral with a hint a urea, ( what we feed all our holstien fat steers) i just went out to the cattle barn and got it with a bucket, i plan on having a nice steer this year. any tips on what to feed him? any comments will be apreshiated, thanks
