I like breeding for ABC steers.  Usually I've bred commercial American breed cows to the popular exotic club calf bulls.  Just wondering what American breed bull most use that is consistent in siring good show calves on cows that don't have enough breed character?

Thanks for any input in advance

Woodrow($75/a straw-pricey though) seems like a good choice to use exotic cows to keep the American breed character.  Does anyone know where to find any pics of his offspring?

I've also heard the name Bad Chicken - where can one find info on him?

He works on American cattle as well a lot of them can class Brahman if the cow carries some

It's America, lots of times you'll get what you pay for

Friend Kolten Thigpen on facebook he sold the bull a few months ago but still has semen rights and has lots of calf pictures

A lot of good choices out there I will try and figure out how to put up some offspring pics. Woodrows first calf crop went to the majors this year. Only one didn't place in the top 10 and he got injured on the trailer ride. He also made the reserve breed champ Brahman in Austin.

I'll try to let the picture speak for itself. Here's a Woodrow X Monopoly X Power Plus X HooDoo I raised, and will be selling a flush out of this fall.

Vegas is a new bull in the Santa Gertrudis breed that a lot of people feel like could put out some great American steers. He was the high selling bull at Houston this year at $50,000

Seemed like a good combination of bloodlines.  I'm amazed he made it as a bull (clapping) and wasn't steered at a young age for a show.

We bought the Woodrow bull Kolten and very excited about it. We will continue to sell semen on him at $75 straw. We have semen collected at Intergrated Breeders Service in Wheelock. You can call us and order and we can release it to you. Woodrow proved himself this past spring with multiple steers placing in the majors and reserve Brahman at Austin as Kolten mentioned earlier. He will be heavily used in our program and expect to see some exciting results.

We will be promoting a young American cross bull soon that was out of our previous American sire called Wisecrack that we lost to injury. This young November bull is out of Wisecrack (goes back to bad chicken) and a tremendous Brangus x endangered species son. We will be calling him Pioneer. He will be the stoutest boned, biggest footed, biggest bellied, and soundest moving American bull that we've seen. He's mega stout, has lots and perfect character, and is perfectly level designed to boot. Be on the lookout this winter for him. I will try and attach a picture of his daddy on here for reference.
