I've got no experience with Upshot, but I have an Upwards female that I'm really pleased with.  All the Upwards sired cattle I've seen are pretty consistent as far as phenotype.

UPWARD is hot back here used him and the CONCENSUS 7229 bull ,both easy calving ,look like really good calves, UPWARD also has numerous sons already doing a good job and I think this is  good sign ....Havent  used
the other bull.

Thanks lightnin4 and Freddy. Would prefer to used Upward than a son if as you say has sons working well. ABS guy thinks Upshot is better but he does not carry Upward  ;)

Which bull is better over all  ???

Upward is well proven and I think he may fit the down under type better.  Here is an excerpt from Cattle Today when I mentioned him as a bull to use

I saw upward at Genex in Montana on 8/13/09 they were pulling him out of the working area and had just weighed him. I couldn't see over his back and the scales read 2790 pounds that size might work and work very well in some environments but I don't think it would work for me. I have seen some Upward used in our area and Have to admit they look good but want to see how they hold up in the pasture in working conditions before I jump on that band wagon.

I don't have eperience with either but last year my abs rep suggested sitz Upgrade and upward son that they carry. I have heard really good things about him and I am very pleased with the calves I have on the ground out of him.

I have a Upshot bull calf that was born the end of Feb. and I am very happy with him.  I am using him on more cows this year.  I never used Upward but heard good things from him so that is way I wanted to use one of his sons.
