I have a steer that pops his left hock slightly on the move, also has swelling in the inside of the leg (hock area) hes a a good steer besides that. I was thinking of putting him on a supplement to help with his movement, any thought? I have used natural stride but was considering glide or is there another one that would work better. Would adding anti-pop or using DMSO help with this issue? or useing keep 'um sound? Thanks for the thoughts.

we use sta sound fix a stride now on the show cattle. i would rub some linament on his leg where its swollen. the popping probably aggravates his joint which is causing it to swell a bit. my heifers hocks used to crack when she walked but she grew out of it, but that was when she was a calf.

Glide is outperforming anything on the market.  Period!  The hype is real; tehre is no other joint supplement getting it done like Glide.  Recent success can be seen on the Champion Show Stock website & the print publication that is debuting currently.  You will be impressed.

Antipop will be a great addition to Glide for hock & pastern related issues.  Linaments such as DMSO have drug testing consequences, and are also know to cause irritation.  Antipop is an all-natural alternative to help get your calf around the ring better & ease joints.

Hope you will give these advanced products a try, you will convinced after using them.

Have a great day,

other than all of the medication or supplements provided you could also run cold water on it every day. to help reduce swelling.

I am not a vet but when we had a couple steers in the past that near the end of their finish collected fluid in their legs we used daily hydro-therapy. Cold water rinse and liniment. Icy Hot also helps. Natural Stride worked for us as well in combination. We increased the amount of bedding layered saw dust on the bottom with straw on top or wood chips to make it more sponge like. If you put them in a cooler that they have to stand daily, you can get those anti stress mats they use in shops that are soft to stand on. Goodluck.
