I think I have the winner, if you look at her face it is half red and half black, shouldn't be able to get both.

It's kind of like a skin graft from a different calf!  That's pretty cool, but you can keep the color.  I'd be in a world of hurt if my angus looked like that!  (lol)

Here is a pic of a wilder colored heifer born here last year. She is headed for Texas as soon as I can get the transportation figured out. I had a couple others even louder colored, and they were the first ones sold out of the pasture.... which makes me wonder about all this talk about these cattle needing to be solid colored to sell. My widest colored bull in 08, was my top selling bull in our bull sale at $5000. He had a blaze down the full length of his head like a Clydesdale.

I agree...Jill wins... that is most unusual color and markings. Is there black in her background, or is that a huge birthmark?

She is out of a Shorthorn cow *3967562 and a Maine bull.

This is a sunseeker steer I have right now.

I found a calf I really like that is colored similar to this one. Do you all think a judge would judge around a colored calf like this to use a solid colored one ?

BTW I like your calf !

In college I worked at the beef unit at UGA.  One morning we went out to tag and process newborn calves, we flipped over a purebred Hereford heifer that had a black square on her left side.  It ran from her topline all the way down to her belly.  Craziest thing I had ever seen.  Hair and skin was jet black.
