I love to read Baxter Black and Lee Pitts articles in the cattle magazines.  I also look forward to reading about the latest steak houses that Mike Sorenson has been to.  I like to listen to Paul Harvey.  Cattle breeders whose programs I admire would include Ohlde, Kephart, John Sullivan, Bob Gassman, Phil Lautner, Roger Hainy, Dave Caffee, Bob Hine, Griswold, and  Duff

It almost seems like Paul Harvey is getting to be a little goofy in his animal rights comments anymore. Anyone else get this feeling? I always loved Ken Roots radio show when he did his agri-show. He said he worked at Alfalfa Lawn farms as a kid. He was a osu guy I think(oklahoma). From a distance I have liked Ohlde's cattle.Bakenhuse put together a heck of a herd also. I also liked Don and Pat Stout's also. I think he started with nothing and ended up putting a high mark on the tree.

tim russert.....i always watched face the nation every sunday...that was the only news that i really  watched and "lisitened", too regulary.  through the week, all of the networks seem to all have the same latest terroisit killings/ hurricane/ wildfire / child abduction/ bus wreck/ and wall street updates, any time you want to check in.  all the major networks seem to use the "breaking news" banners to have us stay tuned for the same information and pics  we heard and watched  8 hrs before ( with the same "breaking news" banner bait) . i  miss the "no fluff necessary" approach to russerts topics, questions, and debates.  his trip to the congressional hearings was  "monumental". his method of  asking "every" question be repeated, was brilliant, effective, and those conclusive facts presented by him that week  qualified scooter libby for prision.  congressional hearings prior, have always had a " gray scale" tone, and usually "gray scale" results, russert made  the facts black and white, and subsuquently the results black and white as well.... a great journalist, with humble expectations,... i miss the sanity of it all.   jbarl

I've watched Nancy Grace a couple times and she's not bad. I like Greta on fox also. "That woman" on (I think msnbc) I think is hot. Short hair always blastin the right. She just has a look and attitude. She opposisite of O'reily or Hannity I think.

aj, are you talking about Nora O'Donnell? She used to go to the same high school as I did. She used to be a cheerleader and sat in front of me in English. Very cute, she used to wear her uniform on Fridays', oh how I loved Friday. She has been totally brain washed.

Obama as Pres. looks like he owes everyone a favor. It is sad when favors trump substance or "change".

charles johnson from littlegreenfootballs.com

he broke the fake story by dan rather about using a typewriter versus a computer, staged agony by the palestinians and many other muslim groups, including liberals, who if they shoe were on the other foot would complain a little more about a birth certificate for the presidency, that they have to produce themselves if little johnny wants to play little league.  i daresay liberals would not protest their own death at the hands of al queda.  witness the lack of protest and outrage over the incidence in india.  liberals definition of taking responsibility for their actions is resigning, just like the indian security chief did.  what a joke.  the police or military or whatever they were also didnt' take enough available shots early enough, and also, the penchant for diversity and hence cultural suicide, just like us, is our biggest weakness.

I cried when they had the empty chair show in his memory. Election coverage wasn't the same.

i guess nobody's guru is the newspapers.

http://bristolnews.blogspot.com/2008/11/lawmakers-ask-state-development-agency.html

perhaps if they reported with a little more diversity and reported news rather than "making sense of it all" (as NBC proclaims with brian williams), they might have a wider audience.  also, of note, the media seems to be in bed with politicians anyway, and will go out of their way to tow the party line rather than expose or report on anyone or anything that would REDUCE government and promote independence.  they could start with the new EPA regulation for disposing of older cows used for pet foods and other stuff.  of course, in their infinite wisdom, 150 people dying worldwide from BSE they have to make 100% sure that no one dies from this but still won't outlaw cars or abortions.  job security for government personnel and the industries they create is more important.

bigtex...the one I am thinking of is Rachel Maddow. Don't get me wrong I am right of center but she has the delivery, the look....kind of a tear your head off sweetness to her. I don't like what she does but she looks good doing it. I don't know she fascinates me.
