Guaranteed they called steer planet and complained and the thread got removed. Bad publicity for their sale.........

You mean the sale that has no bids right now? (thumbsup)

I would chalk the lack of bids up to the calves not looking great. they are sure not photo'd and presented with the same quality as the old trausch team seemed to do things

I'd like to hijack this thread for a minute please.

Let's forget who these heifers belong to for the sake of this comment, that has nothing to do with my point.

Remember all the people that like natural, unedited photos?  This is a perfect example of why everyone takes vanity shots of their animals.  I wouldn't be ashamed to put any of these heifers in my pasture.  And, if I was buying a show heifer, I would be more than willing to take a shot at several of these. You sure couldn't get hurt by the price, they're close to mkt.

Bronco Fan  .... You like Young Money you should check out Renegade Blues. He is a Young Money son out of a Money Man/ Mr.Dunk. He is a blue roan and looked as awesome in person as a calf as in his picture. Competitive Edge owns him. Click on the steer planet Comp Edge Banner.

I checked out Renegade Blues and he is pretty good too. I own a few cows that have clicked very well with Young Money. Now, I wonder if they would click just as well with Renegade.

Having spent time picturing and videoing sale calves for the past 5 years for our own sale, It takes time to learn how to picture calves well. I dont know Kim or Jason, but they will learn what it takes. I'd say looking at the pictures and video for their sale, they need to invest in better AV equipment. Its not pulling in the light very well and the video is shaky. They are  from the south too, its different working with the winter hair coats and clipping and prepping calves for sale up here. I bought a heifer from Trausch last year in April out their heifer pen, they keep their heifers green. Look them over, these calves are still real green and have some loose stools. They have great bulls that just need better promotion. If I had to pick one bull to use on every cow... Salty Dog. I have Direct Whiskey, Jawbreaker, and Harlem Shake calves coming this year, and I am stoked. Jawbreaker is going to throw some of the best heifers on the market, people just need to recognize it.

I will try to attach a cell phone pic of a Jawbreaker steer we sold this year.

My brother and I thought the same thing. On the first sale they had on breeders world we purchased a salty dog heifer. We spent 2500 and never saw her in person. She's no 10k calf, but we will end up showing her. We are actually pleased with her.

And if agree with them keeping the heifers green. Ours has been on feed for a month and looks like a totally different animal.

I thought about this for a few minutes, and I agree.  We have never been disappointed with a calf that we bought when he was green.  You can see what you are buying.
