Nice replacements IMO, but they would have their work cut out for them in the showring down here in the states, but again JMO and just looking from pictures, it is almost really impossible to get a good enough look. Good luck with them.

Don't  have anyone growing heifers for show cattle in these parts the 4-h just does steers for beef production so I don't know what it takes.

Calve them out and breed them to Double Vision etc-whatever Shorthorn club calf semen you can get-they need something stout and clubby to change them. Im wondering if the guy who owns B-Good Soldier kept a son out of a maine cow-JIT had a vision son that was really good too-I dont know if he collected him-but looking at these ones-I dont think bulls like Touchdown, or Fighter Pilot etc will make the changes in one generation-I do think if you kept clubby sired hiefers back-then those bulls would work great next O0

Yes, breed them purebred Shorthorn for the best chance to get a show calf on the first breeding. Make sure it's calving ease of course. Good luck!

It takes more than color to make good females. There are several bulls that will add color if show cattle are your goal.I know that anything other than a white face will be discounted in the real world. The Shorthorns usually breed for solid colors but the wild colored ones if good stick out in the show ring and bring top dollar.I would be more concerned about udder quality, uniformity, maternal traits, and fertility.I love the showring and the many friends I have made from showing but many times balanced traits are not in the winners .

I've been successful in crossing Sin City (White Shorthorn) with Flechvieh type cows to get a showy calf in the result.
