She's gorgeous; great neck.  Your FW looks even better as a momma.  Gridmakers are sought after as great cows and Cigars milk and have fantastic udders.  She'll do a great job making show steers and purebreds.  You imported some calving ease with Wrangler and more milk with Oakdale Duke in there.  I'm guessing you will be keeping the baby?  Lots of crosses you can make .....914 would be at the top of my list for purebred.  Would buy some of those if you make enough.  Have semen if possibly interested in splitting a flush.

Thank you for responding! As far as keeping her goes I would really like to sell her and help cover what I have in her mama and get some notes paid off so she will surely be for sale- as much as I would also like to have my step brother show her so I can take care of her every day ha

I just hope she is a good one, possibly one to help put her mama on the map, she is going a super good job with her... This calf is an experiment to see if the mother has a place in the purebred world because we think she will give em hell clubby wise, but I really want to play in the purebred ring as well! They say these wranglers start pretty slow and this one is no different obviously, but I think the pieces are coming together pretty quickly. At the same time I am ignorant to how these babies are supposed to look

She's good.  Second picture her front looks off but may be the angle.  If she's clean front and back she's a good one.  Don't necessarily look for the first one to put the cow on the map; her successive offspring are likely to be better than the first.  Reread my other post I was editing when you replied.

If you are considering flushing her, watch condition level on the cow.  The embryologist (at least mine) prefer them not to be so fat, er, I mean in such good condition.

She will be flushed! She has been back on feed since she had the calf and she will slim down before she goes to flush in the fall- I will certainly look into that flush with you in the future! We have quite a bit of faith in this cow, hopefully this calf turns out good enough to make us stick with wrangler for the near future atleast! I got some 3 trees wind 0383 semen for my graduation gift to use on flushing this particular cow down the road (my best cow is 0383 bred) and I think that one could be way cool along with something like 914 also going forward

0383 is hard to find; someone was very thoughtful with that gift.  There are three units selling in Henderson this weekend at the CAT sale.  Curious to see how much they will go for.  Females based on WW and/or 0383 had fantastic Cool Rep calves at side when we went to M6 to view Bells & Whistles.  Have him too if you'd like that....

Ha well I got one of those cows the Mamie 0383 female (as you know) and she is absolutely phenomenal- I had to dig that 0383 semen up and it wasnt cheap- if I didn't get it as a gift I would be trying to bum car rides on the side of the road, I would be so broke..

I'm ready to see how the bells and whistles turn out I have a 3/4 sib and she is blown out at the knee- looking for a place to send her as we speak- so I'm kinda sketched out on the cool rep stuff

I remember your donor from the sale.  9485 is good genetics.  Breed that one to Cigar, FW, or Turton.  I like the idea of what Prime Cut would throw in there with Turton.  Remember your homework on OBG Nancy?  FW is available sexed heifer from Thomas Ranch.  It's not cheap, but it is 5mil, not 2mil.

DCC show cattle (Doonan) is having super good luck with Turton on a PC smart money cow- I like Turton alot, the donor is flushing to firewater as we speak, the Mamie cow is out of a full sister to m6 big top (meaning she's line bred cigar

I really want a bull calf to go run to that open deal in Houston

Thank god someone else down here is one the Turton train with me! We have a phenomenal female out of him and they are just super cattle. I personally would like to see this firewater go back to some of the impressive D040 bull (Turtons maternal grandsire). Something such as turton, prime cut, or if I can get any smart money semen I think that could be big time as well! and the Cow our turton is out of is PC Smart Chic which goes back to smart money a fasttrack grandson.

Great news that Warngler worked so well for you.  The fact that Warngler has great calving ease is validated by this BWT. EPD dropping in the latest summary.  Keep us posted as she develops.
The next question is what to use on her next.  My vote would be to use a bull like Keys Ten-Acious 166S to see how a more carcass and performance bull would work on her. Montezuma is another choice here but with less performance.

Stopper,

mcf bohannan doesn't have any calves on the ground yet and kass quiet riot has just a handful of calves registered from 2013.  This will be the first rel calf crop for quiet riot so the jury is still out on both bulls.  Bith bulls have projected EDPD below average for growth- well below Wranglers numbers.
I like a complete outcross on Firewaterbreeding but if you wnt to line breed to Firewater I would look at the prospect ZKCC game on 266Z a Turton son.
I still like Montezuma due to the maternal background the bull has.
