Saw Bohannon in Denver and he was a stud. Was very impressed, super stout, and sound with a clubby look. Thought for sure he was going to get a piece of the deal but being young was hard. If I was interested in raising Charolais I would for sure be using him. Calves or no calves.

hopefully Turton will be collecting again soon,,,but will not be available for awhile as we will try to build our owner inventory back up before selling any.  if you can find it,, I would buy it,  if you have it,,,I would use it on the best cows for now

Nice udder on your cow Show Stopper. Curious to see how your calf turns out. Its alive and healthy - that is what is important right now. I like your idea to try the Bohannan calf. Looks pretty cool. I like that Bronco bull too that Lindskov-Thiel and Wild Indian Acres bought. Unique pedigree. If you are going to raise a herdbull and sell him - get a different pedigree. Don't follow what everyone else is doing - be the guy who raises the 'next' one not a good one that no one can use b/c the pedigree is the same. Good luck - cow looks really good

Charguy is right.  Don't follow the crowd.  Find bulls that are unrelated to what is popular right now but right and you will be ahead of the game.

Larissa this is a picture of the mother right before the calf was born

Also search firewater heifer and a post should show up by me featuring the mother to this baby heifer

Barry farms-75 lbs

I do actually like that bronco bull alot! What do you Charolais boys know about the 0383 stuff? I think he would be somewhat of an outcross (old school at the least)

She's a prime example of any show heifer/cow theory anyone wants to discuss

She stood last at ft worth, Houston open show, 3 of 5 at the jr show, last in class at my county last year and 6 of 8 at Houston last year

And turned up with a calf like this one.... And I'm glad we stuck with her

Disclaimer*she did get beat, and beat bad and often but I'm not by any means saying she wasnt the fan favorite- we always called her a cow prospect not a show heifer

Show stppoer,

383 is a sleep easy heifer bull that in his time was one of the great Wyoming Wind sons for calving ease.. Since our cow calved so well from wrangler I would not bother with 383 on her.  The extra calving ease is wasted and I want a bull with at least the same power and performance capabilities as wrangler.
