Any calves out there sired by him yet? Still pretty early but didn't know if some of the simmy breeders were getting some already. Also is the semen on the public market, or is it just being sold in semen shares?

Is this bull out of Upgrade? I heard it was being sold in shares, but I don't know 100%. I think he was briefly talked about in a JF American Pride post a few months ago.

Semen sold in the Guyer dispersal for 150-160. I talked to Dave before the sale and he said semen would not be available to the public on the open market.

If I'm not mistaken, the bull's an Ebony's Grandmaster son.  I think the semen was pretty tight in the first year...don't know if there will be a whole lot of them around, other than owners.

I just purchased the bull in Denver, bought some bred heifers at bruhn's incredible female sale and sparked my interest. Got a couple on the ground, look good and have some cool markings on their head.

Here's my WS A Step Up.
She's got a mustache. I love her. Thick through and through.

I bought some semen from Steppingstone genetics and flushed a sim donor cow last year. Got 2 calves so far, an all black heifer that is thick and sound, and a bull calf that is super deep and thick! Really happy with  him so far. He is also available through Cattle Visions now.

Do you have any pics of the calves? I'm thinking about breeding a Monopoly/ Simmi heifer to him.

Glad to hear you guys like the calves. Got 15 on the ground so far, 14 unassisted out of heifers. 1 we had to help straighten a leg then the calf popped right out. Birthweights on all calves have been moderate this year almost all high 70's and that's out of big heifers. Had a upgrade calf that was good size but she had it on her own.

Is this the same bull that Guyer and Co. owned when he first came out and was offered for sale in packages?

Yes it is cab. I've done a lot of apologizing to those guys that paid to get in on that even though I had nothing to do with it. Once I bought the bull I was supposed to get a list of who was in on that and continue doing things the way they had been done. After several calls and no list I opened it up.

I have three coming in March. The ones I have seen have looked great. There were several in the holiday classic this year out of several different cows. There was not a bad one in the bunch. Really impressed with his consistency.

If any of you guys get in central illinois very welcome to come see him and a bunch of calves. Only 40 minutes northwest of Springfield. I thought the same thing kaxx, at bruhns sale they had a bunch of step up breds, very consistent and not for sure but as I sire group thinking the had to have the highest average. Scott foreman called tonight and said a bred step up daughter topped burkes sale in Iowa at 14xxx

BAR QH Do you have any mature photos of him, how big is his frame and how much do you think he would tip the scales at? Depending on how he clicks with my commercials I may flush to him this summer.
