Anyone own a Yamaha gererator?  I have been looking for a used Honda 6500 for quite some time but haven't had much luck, I recently found a Yamaha 6500 in great shape with electric start for about 1/3 the cost of any of the Honda's that I have seen.  I am going to look at it later this week and think I will probably purchase but wanted some opinions from those that have used one.  I know the Honda's are the most quiet on the market, how do the Yamaha compare?

Give it a try.  I don't think there is a whole lot of differences in most generators other than paint and decals.  Anyone else out there remember the show in Oklahoma that Yamaha used to sponsor?

We went to the Yamaha in OKC in the late 80s about every tear they had it I think.  I remember it as being pretty fun.

Buy the generator.  They are all about the same and you could view it as disposable for that price.  Biggest thing is change rhe oil every year and start them up and run them for a little while every few months.  You're not worried about quiet at a calf show anyway.

if you are really worried about it being too loud, buy a couple of the small honda inverters. i'm pretty sure yamaha makes them too. anyways, you can buy a cable that hooks them together and combines the power. they are really nifty as well as being really quiet.
