Oct 25, 2014 #2 knabe Well-known member Joined Feb 7, 2007 Messages 13,639 Location Hollister, CA water needs to run off or through. here's what i did uphill from my house. http://equimed.com/health-centers/healthy-barn/articles/build-a-french-drain-to-improve-barn-drainage i connected all the drains from the barn as well to an underground pipe with an exit about 300 feet away. there also the gravel/fiber solutions as well. i pretty much have no mud except on the entry way in one stall in the barn that the gophers/squirrels keep digging out. i can't tell you how many we and the rest of the neighborhood uh remove each year.
