YOU GO GARGAN

The West Va state fair hosts some pretty competitive animals-especially steers-the top end would place at Ill, Ohio, etc.and some were $12-15000 calves-Last year Gargan bred the champion steer.He just isnt the type to toot horns-so I will. This year they had a market hiefer show and IM here to tell you there were a couple 3 really good ones, that would run at Louisville or Denver.Teets Farms-who have won overall at Louisville had a real barnburner. She was 3rd or 4th in her class-same class that GARGANS HIEFER WON .Then the hiefer went on to be champion market hiefer-and reserve supreme against several 4 O"clock originally very expensive fat steers. Hats off-even though Ive recently discovered indoor plumbing,and claim kin with West Va- I have also had grand champs at Louisville, Denver etc-so Ive seen a good one before-and that hiefer was GOOD. O0

Thanks Mark! Really appreciate the compliments. One correction, the steer I had the the fair last year was a class winner in the heavyweight division that the 2 champs came out of. I will give most of the credit to the family that feed these calves. They work their butts off year round! And that girl can flat out show one. Getting calves in good hands is a big plus! Yes, a walks alone champion steer in 2013 at Adams county fair in western Ohio.
