In the mindset of putting the "Scottish" back into the Angus breed, I'd wish for some Ballot of Belladrum semen to put into my new Angus cow in the Spring.  Ballot was a popular bull waaaayy back (60's) and eventually the people (Omega Farms) who I worked for ended up with all the available semen at the time.  Ballot daughters were worth their weight in gold and he had a bunch of 'em.  I've talked with the son, who is starting the Omega Angus herd up after a long hiatus, an he doesn't have any left "lurking" in any tanks.  I'm still searching!

I would love to have some more heat seeker, chill factor, heat wave semen. I would love to have some Cunia, Draft Pick, Friction, and Meyer 734. And if I buy the shorthorn cow I am thinking bout I would absoulty have to have some sonny semen. And then I would love to have some embroys out of that mating.

Any bull that is about a frame 3 and was a short stout little meat wagon who made awesome females and had an Angus $Energy EPD of about +50. Can't seem to find any of that. Santa'd be the only one......

The sales report said Rocky Hill mary if i got that right sold for 150,000. Is that right?

Well I would love a trip up to Canada or over to Australia to go and find that next great outcross shorthorn to bring back here, and hopefully get alot of semen while I am at it.

I saw that "Own DZ"  tucked in there on your list. I think you are off to a good start. Wink, wink.

When you are out there looking over the pastures at Cates', ask to see what is 'behind the barn'. I never saw DZ until after Louisville (about Thanksgiving) and she was already weaned, broken to lead and in the show barn getting ready for Denver. I have no idea where they had her stashed but I had been thru the pasture many times and never saw her.

draft pick,

double paramount, black gold , berlin, cunia, midas, bar u j allen, etc.  out of all that, it shouldn't be that hard to create another one.

out of all that, i think i'd take the horton helena cow or the zta connie cow pedigree wise, rather than any of the bulls.
