I am getting ready to sell my F350.  When I do I will need another truck for pulling.  I will be looking for a 2003 or older Ford F350, F450 or F550.  Prefer 4 door (doesn't have to be).

Need 7.3L Powerstroke
Under 150,000 miles
4x4

Would like flatbed but not necessity.  Let me know if you have anything or know of anyone selling.

THANKS

Correct.  That is why I want to buy a 2003 or older.  That is the best motor Ford ever made so far.  I had a 2003 and someone offered me what I paid for it so I sold it....

You like the 2010 6.4 better than the 7.3?  I have a 2008 F350 with a 6.4.  Awesome truck, I love it but am getting ready to sell it because I run the road a lot for work and it is just too much truck to not be pulling something all the time.  It has all the power I could ever ask for.  I bought a F150 for my daily driver and want an older truck to pull trailers and do farm chores.

I wouldn't give a 6.4 to my worst enemy. Worst truck I had hands down. Traded it with 25,000 miles, and it had 3 engines, was getting ready to drop a tranny, 3 computer systems, whole new cluster as it decided not to work, 2 sets of fuel sensors, intake problems, dpf got stuck on for 300 miles....... Need I say more, and from people I have talked to itsnot just me. O, and that 9 mpg empty can go to the fiery pit. Now have a 6.7 dodge and that is the best truck I have ever driven hands down.

Well I must have hit the lottery because stock I'm getting 18-20 mpg and I've got 43,000 miles on it now and the only thing I've replaced on it was a taillight. What year was yours showsteernc?

It was a 2010. Best fuel milage I ever got was in the 1st 1,000 miles and even then I only got 16. Granted I am not easy on a truck to say the least, but my dodge gets 21 on the highway empty and will get around 10 loaded, of course I'm weighing 28,000 loaded so I'm happy with 10, considering thats better than the ford was getting empty. That dodge is a flat out good truck, only thing I wish I had done was get one quicker, and probably should have gotten a dually but oh well.

I heard a lot of bad stuff on the 6.4 too.  I love my truck, just don't need it anymore.  Mine gets 14.5 mpg all the time.  I can get 15 +/- on the highway, and I get 12 pulling a 28' EBY.  I have got 10.5-11 pulling full up 77/81 toward Blacksburg, but that is the least I have got.

Sounds like you had a tough go showsteernc.

I have heard good things about the Dodge, a friend just bought a 4500.  I have heard great things about the new Ford engine too, but don't have the $ to buy a new truck with my new 150 too.

I wanted the 4500, but there was no reason to get it and still be in college, something about they didn't engineer parking decks on campus to fit a flat bed in there. Yea 77/81 is a pull, but I'd say flat top may be the worse in WV. My 2500 held it, but it sure didn't run away going up.
