finally kicked the babies out of the barn this afternoon…it was a wild rodeo…the momma’s were so ready to get out and the poor babies were scared to death to leave….we literally had to shove them out…and they really didnt like the mud…by this evening though, things had finally settled down a little…and they had mosied their way back up the hill…
well until fall calving anyway….last spring calf born this morning…and what a surprise! as soon as i saw it, i was prayin’ it was a girl…but not this time…this little fella weighed in at 78 lbs…he’s out of a purebred shorthorn cow (outcast x gizmo) and an occ legend x maine bull…
