Hello to All!

I will be posting to my Blog Probably on a Monthly basis.  I will probably share numerous ideas and stories and a few Restaurant reviews for those that ever travel to East Central Nebraska and need a place to eat.  I will also probably share some stories of my family and my 3 boys and their involvement in our small cattle operation.  I will also from time to time comment on the cattle that we have for sale.

Introduction: We are Romshek Show Cattle, Tony, Dani, Grant(9), Gavin(5) & Grady(4) Romshek. For those that can’t memorize names well,  I may refer to the Boys as BIG G, MIDDLE G & LITTLE G.  Dani, is employed as an Occupational Therapist.  I have been involved in a Home Based Business for the last 7 years or so.  This has allowed my to be Mr. Mom and be home with our boys and our small cattle operation.  Through that Business,  I developed our website about 2.5 years ago.  With the use of this website as well as promotion on line and spending time with cattlemen and Ladies on the Steer Planet,  it has lead me to my next adventure.  I am pursuing a degree in Web Design-Technical Web Development through the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division.  Down the road, for those needing some assistance in Web Development Please look me up.

UP Coming Events- The Nebraska Classic is coming up on February 17-22 in Kearney, NE.  We will be taking a half-blood Simi bull by 3C Macho and a PB Maine by Hardcore and Whitney.  Please check our website for more info on these two individuals.  We are all praying for nice weather this year for the classic.  With half of the facilities being wiped out by the Tornado this Summer,  The Classic will be hoping for nice weather more than any other year since more cattle will be outside.  I will Blog back after the Classic and Let you know how it all went.

Resteraunt of the Month: “DUSTERS”,  Columbus, NE.  I thought it would be neat to comment on some neat places to eat here locally, for those that travel through here and are looking for a new eating adventure.  We just took the Boy’s to Dusters yesterday and since it’s one of the favorites, I chose them first.  Dusters is located in Downtown Columbus in an oldstyle restored building.  We decided to stop in for their Sunday Brunch buffet.  Next time we will make sure and have reservations,  it’s not fun waiting for a table with 3 hungry little boys.  The ladies at the front were very accommodating though.  I would Suggest semi professional dress.

Dusters is a Micro Brewery, and what the boys really like is it’s not just beer.  They make there own Root Beer and it’s a huge hit for the younger folks.  The Bar in the center of the Restaurant is a neat thing to see.  It’s made out of a Grain Bin.  The outside(towards the restaurant has a neat looking Western Mural painted on it.  There Sunday Buffet is excellent,  the boys had waffles with fresh strawberries and Whip cream and home made cinnamon rolls.  I had my normal eggs with salsa, bacon and hash browns and a slice of smoked ham and prime rib.  Big G had about everything on the menu.  Children from 5-12 are priced at $ 6.99, they may change that age limit after seeing Grant go through the line 3 times.  They didn’t profit much on him.  Under 4 is free, and Little G who turns 5 this summer but just celebrated his 1/2 birthday at Pre School kept insisting to the waitress that he was 5.

The atmosphere was excellent and the food was great and service was very good as well.  Rating by RSC- *****

A Tale Of the Boys-  First off, My Mom bought each one of the boys a neat Stuffed Bull to play with. The boys go along with me to get numerous cattle jobs taken care of.  They went with me for Semen Checking my bulls(Explain that Process) and we also had Nose Rings put in for the Classic.  When I was in Denver at the Stock Show,  Dani took the boys to Walmart to get some new snap rings for her Day Planner.  Middle G thought they looked like Nose Rings and wanted one for his Bull “Taco”

Have a great WeekNacho,
