Just a reminder to anyone coming to the Fort Worth Stock Show during steer week (week of Feb 2) that there is large commercial heifer show and sale on the Sunday after the show.  The heifers will be there from Thursday on.  Lots of really good show-oriented cattle from folks like John Griswold, Wilkins in OK, and others (including us - Graves T-Bar Ranch).  Several pens of good commercial type Angus cattle also.

We've got one pen in the sale this year - two year old heifer pairs  that are bred back.  Our heifers are sired by sons of Lifeline (3 hd), Shamrock (2 hd), Flash (2 hd) (a Chiangus bull Charles Burk raised), or Angus bulls (3 hd).  These heifers are complete outcrosses to the Heatseeker-Heat Wave bloodlines and will mate well to those bulls or to colored bulls used down here for slick shear shows.

One of the Angus-sired heifers is a maternal sister to the Reserve Champion Charolais steer in Houston 05.  She has a super heifer calf (one of the absolute top heifer calves from our entire Fall calf crop) out of an Anchor son we own with John Griswold.  A total of six of the calves on these heifers are sired by this Anchor son (GCC Anchor 678S if you want to look him up).  The other four are out of Sitz Angus bulls.

Four of our heifers are bred back to Monopoly, three to Smooth Sailing, two to Troubador, and one to Dirty Harry.
