Green Springs Performance and Efficiency Tested Bull Sale is November 21, 2010 at 1 PM at the Mo-Kan Livestock Facility near Passaic, MO.

This is an opportunity to purchase performance and efficiency tested bulls from the most recent Green Springs Bull Test.  Many registered  breeds are represented including Angus, Simmental, SimAngus, Red Angus, Polled Hereford, Limousin, Lim-Flex, Gelbvieh, Beefmaster, and Braunvieh.  There were over 200 bulls tested and they are selling the top 84.

The test measures RFI or residual feed intake.  This number represents the amount of feed (greater or less) that a bull on the tests eats compared to bulls of the same size and gaining at the same rate that they are.  A negative RFI number represents a more efficient calf.  Feed efficiency is moderately heritable running along the range of 35-40%.  Therefore progress through genetic selection can save you large costs in feed in future offspring.

I am selling lot #80 GLZ Victor W906.  He is a purebred Simmental.  He is a Built Right son out of a BOZ Redcoat x 600U cow.  He had an ADG of 4.15 on test and one of the best RFI numbers at -1.85.

If you have any questions about this bull or anything else I can help you please be sure to send me a message.
