Dave sent me some pics of the two plus hfrs of his(30 and 31). They sure looked good. He usually has some good females.

It's good to see more Plus heifers being consigned this year. I think ours may have been the only one last year.  Lot 32 is one of the best females we've ever raised, not really sure why my sister wanted to consign her. We do have her mother (4/4 heifer calves in her career) and she's got a purebred that is quite good too.  Lot 12 has changed dramatically since we took that picture.  She had a very very hard time in the co-op herd and if nobody decides they want that one, we'll have no problem taking her home.

It's been quite a few years since I have been down to that sale, but I may just have to make the trip to see what all is going on down there.  It's rare to see that many good looking females in a state sale in the spring, or at least it seems that way to me.  I'm not in the market for a heifer just yet but that is a realy deep set of calves, not just show heifers, some good cow prospects too.

The Illinos state sale does look to have an especially strong offering this year and we hope to see you all there!  I have attached a picture of lot 18 that was taken today.  If I can assist anyone, on this lot or any of the other lots in the sale, please let me know!

Here is an updated pic of lot#22 that belongs to Tim Brandenburg. She's a SULL Red Beast out of the Nita cow family. Taken on 2/18/13. She's a 5/15/12 hfr.

Lookin good, Mike! Glad to have the Brandenburgs in the sale this year.  Are you going to be joining us in Springfield?

I wish I was. Not going to make it this year. It is supposed to be a non rain weekend , so I will be getting health papers for TN sale done and washing sale heifers, pregging a couple of recips and fencing. Good Luck!! There is some good looking cattle in the sale.

Well...... how did the sale go today? I thought this was the best set of heifers in this sale in quite some time.

I thought the sale went really well on the heifer side. Most of the heifers that I saw sell went for 2500-4500. I didn't see any bulls sell, but I'm pretty sure my dad did. We were personally very happy with how our heifers sold.

Are the results posted anywhere?  I'm curious to see what each lot sold for.
