God Bless you Red! You were and will always be what this site is about. You treated the posters here like family members and everyone looked up to you for guidance and advice no matter the subject. It is a sad day for us, eventhough many of us never met you personally. We will continue here in your memory like we are sure you would want us to but it will never be the same and we will never forget. You were one of the most thoughtful and caring people that ever lived and your passion for life, people and cattle was inspirational. It's hard to believe your gone.

I type this tonight through teary eyes and with a heavy heart.  I am very new here but feel like I have lost a member of my own family.  Red was a major reason I chose this forum and I was always interested in her input to the discussion.  My condolences to her family, and to all of you on SP who will miss her so.  I had to explain to my three year old why the computer made his Daddy cry.  That is a testament to her goodness.

I'd like to send my condolences to the Billenstein family.  Red was the glue that was always able to hold this forum together.  She would sure let it get close to out of hand, but always knew the right moment to reel everything/everyone back in.  Bless the family and all of her friends.  Also, bless all of her SP friends.  I know there were a lot of us that never met Red, but she knew how to welcome someone right in to the SP family.  May God Bless Red... (angel) (angel) :'( :'(

I'm with Chambero, it's a wake up call to us all that we should take advantage of and enjoy every minute of every day.

I think to honor Cathy that we should all try to be more civil in the expression of our opinions. She lived her life as an expression of kindness to everyone, a wonderful example.

I just got the news from BA.  I am so sorry to hear of her passing.  I to am shedding some tears. Her post always gave me a chuckle! I am sure she had a great time at OBE Friday!  My heart goes out to her family and to Gidget, I know how close you two were.  All of these loving post show what a close and loving group we in the cattle industry can be.  My prayers and thoughts are with everyone that got to know Cathy and loved her.  As crazy as it may seem my heart also goes out to woody and kk.  God Bless (angel)

I'm shocked and so saddened by this news.  My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who knew, didn't know, and loved her.  I never had the honor of meeting her in person but felt loved and respected by her perhaps more than by others that I 'do' know personally.  I'm crushed and teary.  I was on the road yesterday and didn't check Steer Planet 'til this morning.  What will we do without her!  God bless and rest in peace, Cathy!

I like many am just shocked at the news of Cathy's passing, I was at the OBE yesterday, stopped and talked to Juli and asked about Cathy, at that time no one knew, I enjoyed one of her cookies while talking to the Nelsons and then went on my way, never knowing the sad news to come.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark and the family now, and I would suggest that we as a group and family on steer planet need to remember all the acts of kindness, humor, good common sense and wisedom we all received and benefited from her presence.  Cathy was a gift from God to us, we have all enjoyed that gift over the years, now we need to spread that same gift to others in her memory.

I nearly loss my breath when I logged on the computer, We just made the 12 hour trip back home from the OBE and this sad news hit hard after a fun weekend. Though I never meet red, she always inspired us, even going out of her way to do so. Her posts where always enlightening, and she never minded giving advice to her planet family. So many times I have seen people argue over such trivial things while she maintained a steady mind, nor did she complain why me, she just continued to well, be red, encouraging and bringing a smile to our faces, even if she was the one who needed it more. So here’s to you red, for all you have given those you never meet, one last smile, because even when others where depressed, you brightened our day.  <cowboy>

I am very sad to see this news. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I wish I could have met her because she seemed like a very nice person. And the way everbody talks she was. But I am glad to see that she was having the time of her life the day before. That just goes to show that good things happen to good people.

As all of you I am saddened to hear of Red's passing my condolences to family and to her friends here. Red always kept us on a positive track-she is the reason sooo many joined her here at SP She will be missed! Let us rejoice in the knowledge that she now travels in a better place and keep her memory alive by the way we conduct ourselves here without her guidance.
  thoughts and prayers,Campbell
