Being new to SteerPlanet, I thought I should introduce myself. I am 15 years old and a very active member of my FFA chapter and county 4-H. I have been showing beef cattle for approximately 7 years and have done a bit of pig showing as well. My grandfather has been breeding cattle for over 40 years and has been raising Simmentals, breeding them with some Angus, for a long time, so I have jumped in to the operation and am now a valuable part of the business. Our farm just got its 25 year active Simmental Association certificate last month. I see that this site is overflowing with valuable knowledge and am hoping to absorb as much of that is possible.
