just depends on your goal, will you breed them to lamb as yearlings? do you plan to show them as yearlings? how much money do you want to invest in them? do you want to have good looking yearlings, or just good enough looking to live through the winter.
I know of several people who has fed a Soy bull pellet/ DDGS ration- half and half with added Ca-- these are wether type producers. I tried this last year, didn't get along very well.
When at home, and we had our own corn, I use corn, oats, liquid molasis, and suppliment-- but then again, I want to maximise my growth to make them show yearling ewes.
