« on: October 02, 2017, 11:43:40 PM »
Trying to start planning early for spring breeding.  What is everyone breeding their No Worries heifers to?  The cow she is out of is a Thriller x Ice Pick 5/8 Maine.

What is the most you have paid for shipping semen?  I just got a quote that is more than double what I usually pay, has something changed that I am unaware of?

Thanks for all the suggestions.  I opted to wait and she calved a big bull calf between my two hour checks.  Calf was up an nursing when I got there.  I tried to attach pictures but no luck, files were too big.

The Big Show / Cow over due

I have a cow that is over due by a week.  I typically don't worry but she typically has big calves and I don't want to be pulling a 130 pounder, I did that five or so years ago with a different cow.  Wait and let nature take its course?  Or what do you all do to induce?  No bull so later due date is not a possibility, all AI here.

Black calf is a No Worries x Thriller x Draft Pick heifer,  I have high hopes for her staying in the herd.

Red and white calf is a Tiger Woods x Texas Twister bull.

Yellow and white calf is still wet behind the ears and is a Copper Penney x Whiteboy bull

Has anyone used WATCH ME WORK from Minnaert's?  He looks intriguing to me, what cows is he working on, any calf pictures?

The calf can be saved if you give the effort, it'll require daily leg exercises and extra feeding care.  I have a cow that fits this same scenario, she just turned 15 this year.
