He had JMO the GENUINE SHORTHORN  PERFORMANCE CATTLE-Alot of big time breeders massaged numbers and rode his coattails I didnt see much price support at all re his dispersal when you consider the money they made off his cattle  Overall: Lauers were much better than any of their overpriced hard doing homgonized with Solution etc Cow Killer SH@#%^&*()T We were lucky enough to have two of his cows in the 90s  before the secret got out and they were great animals SIRED by GREENRIDGE BELKER who very few people have any knowledge of  O0
We had A herd bull from Deer Trail, Deer Trail Nitro, his dam was a daughter of Greenridge Belker. KL Belkers Mina. Nitro left us some good cows one of which was the dam of Frimley Rene Dottie 72R an old cow still producing for Justintime! Phot o is of Frimley Rene Dottie 72R

The Big Show / SRS Pacesetter 002 Shorthorn bull photo search
« on: February 26, 2021, 01:49:55 PM »
I am looking for a photo of the shorthorn bull SRS Pacesetter 002 a Shorthorn bull born in 1980 and sold to Rothney Farms in Canada in 1981. I think his photo is in a 1981 Shorthorn Country but cant find the issue. He was an older maternal brother to SRS Instant Replay but Pacesetter was Hilltop Lancer 472.
We are selling semen from Pacesetter this weekend in our Treasure Chest Frozen Genetics Sale on DLMS Farmgate. We had a really good granddaughter of Pacesetter.

A couple of our herd bulls this year. The white one is Hatfield Bingo 2F by Diamond Director 7D and out of a Diamond Prohecy 21P cow. The red is Diamond General 40F, a Diamond Belvedere 29B son out of a Glenford Captain 39X daughter. He is seeing limited use before heading to his new home, a 500 head commercial herd in the foothills.
Diamond General 40G had a 4.91 ADG for 100 days, he was the high gaining bull. He also indexed 111 for marbling.

On both CSA and ASA there is a tab that shows any DNA testing that has been done. It is a really good feature for those wanting to avoid a genetic condition. I think more breeders should insist on these tests for potential herd bulls and especially AI sires. In this bull's case he has been tested for everything including the 50K. If more breeders did the testing we would see higher accuracies.
Also thsi bull's dam has some calving ease, she is sired by a Haumont bull and CF Prosperity was not only one of the first Trump bulls used but also probably of the better and most consistent lower birth weight sires from that breeding.

Great group of bulls again this year.
Link to DLMS.ca to view sale and online bidding. Starts at 1:00 pm MST APRIL 2
