Truthfully I have no idea what he will do on larger cows

our biggest cow  might be a frame 5.5 and that would be pushing it.  our cows are very moderate. he is adding frame and length of body to ours

Sorry I cant be of more help

I am waiting to hear calf reports from Yardley and Bushy Park

I am really curious to hear from Bushy Park because they split 100 head angus cows and bred half to Amazon and half to Built right

We bought him to increase frame on our little frame 4 cows and he is doing that the heifer pictured is a frame 5.  He is a solid frame 6.  I dont think he will add frame to larger cows, and he defiantly wont downsize

We sold a yearling bull at expo over the weekend and he weighed 1420
We are thrilled with the performance he is bringing to the table. along with soundness, phenotype.  We are just super happy with him

I am biased But we absolutely love our SVF/NJC Amazon calves.
The bull is supper sound moderate calving blaze faces
We have been using him on our Angus females LOVE them

below is a yearling daughter she is one of 11 calves we had his first year.  We have about 60 this yar and just out of our 20 fall babies there are 4 heifers better than this one

We are really happy with him here is a picture of Bella she is from his first calf crop (we only had 11 calves last year)
She is selling at sunset View.
The first picture was from a few weeks ago the 2nd is Bella as a calf

We like the calves so well that he bred all our cows last year and he did not disappoint the calves from the fall and this spring are our best set ever!
We are not going to AI a single cow this year!

The Big Show / Re: How much/often do you check your calving cows?

they are real good gomers, we are not Ai'ing anymore.  they are coming 4 year old red roan longhorns, they weigh ~ 1300 and have been dehorned, they had a penial tie down and vasectomy.  They are very gentle and excellent heat detectors, we were told that longhorns are as horney as jerseys with out the attitude plus they dont get too heavy
