« on: November 11, 2009, 02:31:35 PM »
This goes along with the article posted by NASC, I have been hearing about tanks being stolen or having the nitrogen removed in order to make Meth, Not sure if there is any truth in that but nitrogen tanks are pretty easy to steal.

The Big Show / How many calves have you had born in one day?
« on: September 24, 2009, 07:00:42 AM »
Yesterday was just crazy, We have a group of about 30 fall calvers and they were all bred natural by Amazon, Found a fresh bull calf when I woke up, went to town and came back to a heifer calf, went to check cows around 3 and found another in progress.  Aiden (4) and I watched her, he told me the "Cow pooped the baby out" he even wanted to stay and watch the cow clean the calf he was very interested, went back to barn to get tagger on way back out cow number 4 had a water sack out she had a bull calf, then hubby came in around 7 and said calf 5 was born a heifer.

So in summery we had 5 cows calve yesterday, 3 bulls, 2 heifers, 4 w/ blaze faces, all sired by Amazon

I just find it amazing because we have had 15 ET's all due the same day and have not had this many in one day.  All I know is Amazon was a busy buger last winter!

We are taking a trailer load of bulls out to a bull test in Mo, and will be empty on the way home Sunday, we will be traveling along I35 from around joplin to Des Moines and then taking I 80 home, should be home Monday PM or early Tuesday, Have to make a pit stop in Moline for obvious reasons!!!

Thank you so much for the idea about a kid size wheel barrow at the fair, the boys love it and I haven't had to scoop poop yet, plus the poop barely hits the ground before they are fighting over whose turn it is.  I still can't get over what a great idea this is for family with young children!!! <party> <party> <party> <party> <party>

The Big Show / "A" names
« on: April 27, 2009, 05:14:34 PM »
I am working on a baby name list and I am having difficulty coming up with "A" names, I would really like something unique or old fashion.

I already have and Austin and Aiden so I would like to keep an "A" name
The middle name for a girl will be Pearl and the middle name for a boy is James.
