The only that that I don't like about who da man is that his mother is a rat tail. And some if his sisters are rat tails.

good maternal bull  (thumbsup)
Why? Please I'm dying to hear why you like the bull other than his pedigree.....and why do you like the pedigree?

I personally like both phenotype and the fact the siblings were very successful in the show ring. His genetics alone will complement quite a good handful of lineages. As for maternal females...Probably it will depend on the cow families he's bred to.
With all that said, I think you will see him produce his share of show ring winners. Will he be functional for the Beef Industry? I don't have a clue.

My question to him is actually not even related to the bull lol. I just want to see his thinking process......I actually find the bull interesting.

Muleman, I tried ordering monopoly clone yesterday and monopoly 2 isn't freezing at the moment. So your only options are monopoly and monopoly 4 at the moment. Just FYI.

I am not a necessarily a paddy fan, but "mongrelized" being used as a term to call a registered Maine (Irish whiskey x habanero) is stupid. What's even dumber is the fact that he claims calf orientation has to do with "mongrelized" genetics....

The Big Show / Re: Which BULL TO USE??

You know, I didn't realize how many english professors there are in the show cattle world.... (argue). If they were my cows, I would use Yellow Jacket on the red cow. that yellow jacket x heat wave is really popular mating. then it doesnt matter if she is a carrier or not. From the looks of the pic and no snow on the ground, From the picture I would guess the red cow is a carrier. I actually really like your Hannibal cow. That wmw in her makes her valuable to me. I would try Smilin Bob on her (not lautner or rodgers). If you want one of their bulls, I would say I would try Chopper for heifers or Monopoly on her. I know she is bred to him this year, but his calves still win a ton of shows, top a ton of sales, are highly marketable and you could argue he is as consistent as it gets in the clubby world. JMHO
Why do you think she is a carrier?

I was just curious if anyone else had this happen to them with Paddy O' Malley calves or anyother bulls.  We had two calves that required a very hard pull.  The calves would have one leg out, then the head would come.  But the other leg would be tucked straight back under him facing his rear end.  This caused a lot of problems getting the calves out.  One cow went about a week early and the other about five days late.  Any thoughts on this topic would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Obviously after the fact now, but if you have a similar situation, push the calf back in until you can get both front feet coming out first.  Then pull.

ANY TIME YOU USE AN ANIMAL WITH MONGRELIZED GENETICS LIKE THE BULL YOU MENTIONED YOU WILL THROW CONSISTENCY AND PREDICTIBILITY OUT THE WINDOW.  HOW ONE CALF PRESENTS ITSELF SHOULD HAVE NO BEARING ON WHAT TO EXPECT WITH THE NEXT WHEN GAMBLING W/ THESE TYPE GENETICS- IT WILL ALWAYS BE A CRAPSHOOT.

That's one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.....

It's not worth the extra 225 bucks when you can use a clone. Your results are going to be the same. And yes I am aware of the mitichondrial DNA difference.
