For those that had a chance to attend please post results when you get a chance. Excellent offering of real world genetics. Especially interested in what lot 1 and 2 brought. Also, what was your favorite lot in person.

Well...... how did the sale go today? I thought this was the best set of heifers in this sale in quite some time.

The Muridale bulls will be coming in the next few weeks.

What about the Saskvalley Bulls? I was hoping to see them on here soon.

As an Ag Teacher and son, grandson, and great grandson of a farmer this video really hit home. I was greated at school this morning by smiling children with one comment. "did you see the dodge commercial last night?"  We watched it in every class and I am not ashamed to say there was not a dry eye to be found.

JIT, my sources tell me Red Dock Ranch is a Gert breeder from New Mexico. I thought the same thing about 18 from the video and thought he may be a touch straight in his shoulder, but didn't know if that was the frozen ground he was walking on? Really curious to get some more info about the sale especially what 21 brought. Very nice set of bulls in my opinion.

Doc, who bought 18? He was my pick of the group.

The Big Show / Re: Penn St. Punishment. Thoughts?

I am really torn on the situation.  This whole thing doesn't fit Paterno's character, it still baffles me.  I agree more with twistedstock, why are we not hearing about the people who actually did leg work to cover it up having their heads rolled?  My beef is with them, not the football program and players.  At the same time you need to set examples to prevent this from happening again, however I highly doubt it is these punishments that will prevent this in the future.

I agree with you and twisted stock for the most part. I still don't see this as something that Paterno would let go on. I had a great amount of respect for that man. However, when I think of how I would feel if this happened to my son..... well lets just say there is no punishment great enough for what those children had to go through. I pray for them and their families. This whole thing really makes me feel sick.

Okotoks, I apologize for the way the post came across. I meant no offense to your post of the animal. I thought Jody's post was humorous in regards to the statement. I know that you were not lying. I find many of the comments on here to be funny.  That is one of the things that I don't like about this forum or the internet for that matter is the tone in which we mean things is often taken out of text. I will try and post my thoughts more specifically next time.

The Big Show / Re: Grain prices. How high will they go ?

What demand is going to be present if no one can afford to buy it? I hate to say this but I expect several producers to cut corners on fertilizer this year because it is the one thing they can skimp on. In our area we are looking at 10 bu corn and that is good compared to most places south of here that are a total loss. Corn will continue to go up, but I don't see how fertilizer can with little demand. JMO

We had a half inch today. First rain in a month, but don't think it will do much help. Still so happy to get it.

Did you finally get a rain? Looks like he is standing in mud.

I'm guessing it was seen and deemed acceptable. Honestly a one nutt bull sold for good money last spring. If I didn't see it I wouldn't have believed it. This bull being discussed is much better then the one nutt but still I wonder
I still regret not buying that Martindale bull in that sale. He looked solid?

If you are talking about that roan Final Answer son that Crawfdown bought I agree with you. That was a solid bull from a really good program.

Really looks nice. His pigmentation makes him almost look like a Red Angus.
