Let me know what you think of the website.  http://www.deckerherefordranch.com/
Things I know need fixing:
1) If I can get Google Analytics to work, the counter is toast.
2) Some images need to be smaller.

I am considering doing a total rebuild with KompoZer or some other web design software that will allow me to do both WYSIWYG and HTML editing.  So, now would be a good time for ideas and suggestions.

I actually like your site quite a bit.  I always like simple, clean lines, and good navigation.

Google analytics is fairly easy to install, sign up for an account and if you have trouble getting it installed, pm me.

*edit*
It looks like you have the tracking code installed

I got fixated on trying to get google analytics installed last night.  Stayed up way, way too late.  I finally used iWeb SEO tool and I guess that worked.  I didn't think it did when I tested it last night.  Glad it's working now.
Now I can delete the counter.

We really like your site as well.  We agree with Jason, the clean simple lines and easy navigation from one page to the next is great.  My question is what software did you design this in originally? We are in the research stage of setting up a website, but don't know the first thing about getting started. We know roughly how we would like it to look, but don't know where to go to get started, what kind of software we need or anything. RW

We used iWeb, a Macintosh program.  We used one of the templates, then altered it.  If you do use iWeb make sure you also download iWeb SEO (Search Engine Optimization), to do things like add keywords, Google Analytics, etc.

Downloaded KompZer on my Windows XP laptop.  It looks promising.  It will take some work to rebuild the site, but it seems doable.

Had my first bounce recorded on Google Analytics.  Need to downsize all the photos!  Have really enjoyed all the data the Google Analytics gives you.  Lots of hits coming from SteerPlanet!
