Brad, I mean this dude has TIGHT HAIR, I hope that you are right about it, but I think that that we'll need some straitener. The calf is fairly stout. The cow has short strait hair. Could you take a look @ your father & brother in law's bulls for me today? If things go half ways decent here Monday, I may try to get over there and take a peek later on in the day. Happy Easter everyone. Brent

Habanero would throw that curly hair.  Seemed about one in every 6-10 calves. Remember CAB, Habanero's Have a good history of making good slicks. That's only if you can't get the hair straight.  O0

Did get the first one this morning. She was full of calf. Came unassisted 100lbs + bull calf 4 days over. Looks to have some potential. The worst thing about him is that he has extremely curly tight hair. Is that a trait that is going to come with a # of the My Turns or are others getting good hair? Freddy's calf looks like he has that Henri/Kadabra hair also.

Freddy's calf looks like he has that real good fuzzy hair and doesn't appear curly when the photo is enlarged.

This may sound stupid to some, but I would bet a couple of hundreds now and then that there are A BUNCH of calves out there that are not what they say they are. They call that business.

Good point, if it matters.  My Turn is going to sell well even right now as we're not sure what he is.  Heck, there was a bull in Denver this year on display without conclusive known parentage.  Not saying I agree with that, I don't, but it's reality.

Hey Brad,

What were the final results of the DNA testing to prove parentage?  Also, were you able to register him Maine?

Thanks,

Links grown a little cold. Any update Brad? Dang good bull to keep running down. Can't wait to get the official scoop and correct parentage. Good luck on your quest!

Sorry folks......wasn't meaning to ignore you......just hadn't clicked on this subject for a while.  Thanks to those who brought it to my attention!  Been stuck in my office editing calf videos for a LONG time!

GOOD NEWS!......it's OVER!  We were notified by the Chi Assoc. a while back that the pedigree that was stated in the above posts is correct. My Turn remains a registered Chi with the original reg. number that was given to him.

For those of you asking about him being registered as a Mainetainer.......I don't think he can be, but I'm checking with the Maine Assoc. TODAY, just to be sure.

When you view the My Turn progeny in the sales this fall.....think about the batting average of units used to calves that made sales.  I'm sure My Turn runs a distant third in semen sales....but could very well be the LEADER in CONSISTENCY!

Thanks to you all for your patience. Brad.
