Just thought I would post some of our calves here at Hunt Farms in Ontario.
The red calf off the halter is a March HVR GOLD 002 3119 out of a Gold Spear x Raggedy Anne.
The red calf on the halter is a Jan. 31st Salute out of a 1/2 Lincon Red cow.
The roan calf is a March out od HVR Gold and a Gold Eagle x Shadybrook Scotty.
The white heifer is a March out of a TH and PHA free Kool.

I'm glad to see HVR Gold is doing such a good job for you guys since he was a thorn in our side. First he beat our DV x 3127 bull for senior champion at Denver. Then we tried to buy him at the sale and lost the signal with Bob Durham who was bidding for us. By the time we were able to reconnect he had sold. The calves look great, it obviously wasn't meant to be for us but he seems to be working well for you. I will mark that as another what could have been moment for our operation.

Thanks for the comments.
ITK - Am I ever glad that your cell phone connection was bad. Gold has exceeded our expectations. We have a variety of different cows at Hunt Farms and he has put a definate stamp on them. JIT was here in June for the Canadian Shorthorn Meetings and really liked the whole calf crop off him and I will take a compliment from JIT anytime he wants to give one. We have semen available in the US on HVR GOLD. Tim Loudon can release it if anyone would like some.

I have heard of some heavy birth weights on Salute. The red Salute heifer was our heaviest calf born at 94 lbs. The roan Salute was 88 lbs. We had 2 other Salute calves one was 90lbs the other was 78 lbs.
The 78 lb one was not a real good. out of a 11 year old cow. The birth weights on the HVR GOLD calves have averaged 84 lbs on 33 calves with the heaviest one being 97 lbs and the lowest one being 82 lbs.
