4 years ago tomorrow, we lost one of our original moderators, and my best friend Cathy , better known as "Red".  Miss you girl....I will say we were so lucky that Jason brought her in on his "little venture" way back when lol.  Many of us jumped ship from other boards to see what she was squawking about lol.

Here's to you Red....miss you, love you, and consider myself a better person because I called you my friend. <beer>

I miss her as well. The board will never quite be the same since we lost Red. Think of her often & am glad I got to know her just a little bit.  <beer>

Hardly seems possible that 4 years have passed by! I will always remember the total shock I had when I heard the news that Cathy had passed away.

I met Red (and woody) in spring of 2008. What a nice, sincere, loving individual. I was just thinking the other day, I wonder what happened to her cow herd, anyone know?

I never got the chance to meet her in person, but she was the one that first welcomed me to steerplanet with open arms.  I was very new to the cattle world and she helped this board be one where no one would have to be afraid to ask a dumb question or post a calf that they were proud of even if it wasn't a "great one".  Wow how times have changed.  We miss ya Red.

Totally agree.  She was the first to welcome me and I always appreciated her sincere attitude on any questions I had.

Red recruited me from another site and brought me here. Regardless of how bad of a day she was having, she was always supportive to anyone on here that needed it. Us "old timers" here on the planet know how things have changed from when "Red" was at the helm. Rest easy Red, we'll see you on the other side. RW

I'll always kick myself for not introducing myself when I had the chance at the Beef Expo 4 years ago. It was in the bull display area and I saw her there buzzing around with Mrs. Nelson talking about who knows what. My 15 year old self chickened out from shyness... She passed that night  :'( :'(

Its one of the biggest regrets in my life to not take the opportunity to meet such a wonderful person

I really miss Cathy Billenstein as well!  She was a classic!  Although I only spent one occasion to meet her in person, I enjoyed many  hours of wonderful conversation with her.  She was a class act!  ~Cowz  aka Mary Sue

She welcomed me on board and gave me my first Karma pt.!  If you knew her, you had to respect her.  She kept us all in line on here.

She grew some of the best catnip I ever had! <alien>

Just this afternoon I was looking for some info on an old computer and ran across some emails she sent me. Reading through them cracked me up. (King Killer Kitty. . . . need I say anything more?)

Red's Facebook page is still up if you want to give a good word to her family.

Here is some pictures I ran across that Red sent me after she had heart valve surgery. They gave her a valve from a pig so I sent her a hog nose so she could add to her pig part collection! Many laughs, many memories and I have found no one like her since. (Gidget, I think of how you must miss her so. When I think of her I say a prayer for you as well.)  <alien>
