I just received an email with the results of 3 flushes we did today. To say I am pretty pleased is an understatement!!

The first donor was Prairie Lane Sparkle 1K ( dam of Major Leroy) . Sparkle has had some issues this summer with a very arthritic hip caused by an old injury. Two months ago, she never even responded to the drugs and the vets said she may be close to reaching her productive life and she may have to meet the hamburger man. We decided to watch her closely and treat her with some pain killers. She responded well and they said she was much better. We flushed her today and she produced 18 grade 1 embryos by Saskvalley Pioneer 126P. This is the best flush she has ever had as she has usually been in the 6-8 range. I guess the threat of the hamburger man was what it took!

Second was HC RTR Strawberry Kiss 58P. She is a full Irish cow who has not been responding well to normal flush protocol. They changed the program slightly and today she also produced 18 Pioneer embryos ( all grade 1)

Third was Six S Leah 55L who has been the most prolific donor we have ever had. I flushed her to Mandalong Super Flag today and she produced 19 grade 1 embryos. That brings her total embryo production to 371 grade 1 embryos and she is still going strong.

I was pretty tired when I came in tonite, but after reading this email, I am feeling pretty good! All flush days are NOT like this, and it is nice when things work out positively

Great result JIT.

Have you got a pic of 58P? And are these embryos export accredited?

Here is a pic of 58P taken on pasture early this summer. She is a daughter of IDS Mr Maloney 50M ( a son of Highflield Irish Mist and IDS Margeret ) and Waymar J&J Strawberry 96 ( I posted a pic of her as well) Strawberry 96 is now 15 years young and she will be flushed next week. She is still going strong.

All our embryos are exportable, with the only exceptions being a few we collected for our own use, from semen that was only qualifed for owners use. Embryo sales have been excellent however, we have over 300 in inventory and more flushes are planned. Our Elsie's Jade donor is also being flushed in a few days and we will be flushing B Good Red Sue 1P for a customer in Scotland and then flushing her ourselves after that.

We are also selling a flush this Saturday in HC Lady Louisa 12T in the All Star Classic sale at Lacombe AB and she will go directly to Davis- Rairdan Embryo Transplants, Crossfiield, AB after the sale. She is a flushmate to HC FL Touchdown 123T and I think she is capable of producing some excellent offspring. She is moderate framed, and super thick and has a perfect udder.

Embryo sales have been good and we have recently sent two shipments to the US and am presently putting a shipment together for Scotland, but we now have over 300 embryos in inventory and have nire flushes planned. This all means that we will definitely be having another online embryo sale probably in early February 2012

That's great to hear JIT!!! Just curious on what you are flushing Strawberry to?

We are flushing Strawberry to IDS Duke of Dublin the first time, as we have a guy wantiing some  of these. Hope to flush her to Pioneer again after that, as she has really produced some good calves from him. After that, not sure. We'll she how she flushes. She has always been a good egg producer with a high of 34, but she is now 15 so things can change.
