Angus Bull to Add Rib and Depth

We have been working on our cow herd for years trying to improve and have made some slow progress. Like many we started a long time ago with old club calf show heifers. Back when we had no idea what we were doing. We only knew we wanted to try to raise some club calves. Over the years we have purchased some heifers and added some Simmental influence to our predominantly Chi/ Maine based cows. I am looking for recommendations on extreme Angus bulls that will add rib and volume (middle 1/3) and fleshing ability while not sacrificing overall eye appeal in one generation. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

  The bull of the day would have to be Style right now, but a bull that I know has been way under used would be the Plum Creek raised bull Paradox. I saw him a few times at Nichols Cryo and he was the best bull of all breeds there IMO.

Anything with GCC or Duff prefix would also work in addition to what CAB recommended.  <rock>

I have heard guys make the comment that those cattle were just way too small? These comments may have been coming from Angus purist.

Style and Paradox are both have negative docility ratings, how much of a concern is that? 

Duff Hobart, New Edition, most OCC bulls would likely fit your needs.

You can pay attention to the DOC scores, but they very new and I think they are still trying to get a handle on the trait. The scoring system is subjective at it's best afterall it is many different PPL's opinions of cattle's dispositions from all over. It's not like it is the same person observing all of the cattle. Very subjective scoring system.

The main fact that has been  missed or miss used in the ANGUS is the difference in sex ....IN most of the real cattle country we need the good ANGUS female OF THIRTY YEARS AGO  and been laughed at about my opinion and used to be a ANGUS BREEDER but I have seen to much in those years that explain the difference why the females are not like they use to be for making money IN OUR ENVIRONMENT .The truth is if your breeding program is intended to raise 600-700 weaning steers with high carcass traits the chance of raising good females is very unlikely in my opinion, and my idea of a good female is one that I don't own a IMPLEMENT  & IRRIGATION company to feed them to breed back and they stay around raising a calf 10 + years every year ...!!! pay attention to CAB he has some very good knowledge of this business ...I think the bad disposition didn't come from Angus but from the new genetic improvement's ...

This year we will be using Leachman Visionary and Leachman Decision.
