We have a red 3/4 Maine bull calf that was born this spring that fits  perfectly into our program.  He is a low birthweight calf that was born unassisted out of a first calf heifer, solid color patterned, and he is PHA and TH free by pedigree.  On paper, he is approximately a 3/4 sib to our Montego Bay bull.  If he continues to develop like he is, we will promote him as a sire to breed these carrier heifers to for producing slick shear cattle here in the south.

Even though a lot of exhibitors like the chrome on cattle, I prefer to keep to solid color pattern, even on the red ones.

Interested in Fullblood Maines.

shorty people have been known to register solid red purebred maine bulls as 3/4 shorty (totally legal) and then breed them to their shorties to get some new blood pumping in their herd.... ;D

The double bred Ali-- is about to head elsewhere.

The Gigolo Joe/ Contender bull is legit. 

The 1/2 Fullblood bull-- is already toast. 

Pictures on the way of the good one.

Show some pictures and well decide for ourselves.

I don't have any pictures-- yet. 
The bulls are nearly 1000 miles away from me at this point in time. 
Although, I do have a trip planned to get down there again shortly.

Not interested in a bull but might would be interested in some purebred red/white Maine Anjou heifers or bred heifers to breed to Star Bucks if they are the right kind. Pictured below is the right kind IMO. I have the best heifer I have ever raised out of a pb red/white maine cow and sired by Star Bucks. Hopefully will have pictures here soon.

Here is the dam of the red bull calf I mentioned earlier.  Picture is of her at 25 month, and nursing a 7 week old calf.  She is sired by ZNT Triple X, and we will be flushing her to Montego Bay later this month.  Just a little linebreeding in that mating, but should match up really well.  Fingers Crossed!

I forgot to mention his other red bull- B Good Redman-- son of TGEM Red Advantage; which would make him a 1/2 blood Maine- 7/8 shorthorn.

Here is some average pictures of the Red bull-- but they are all I have to show; as well as three calves of his pictured at just over a month old (back in March- which are dammed by purebred Shorthorn cows).

It's been tough down in Southern MO here lately- pastures are completely brown and dry, and the first cutting of hay yeilded 22 bales instead of 60 some like normal. 

If anyone is looking for a new bull to show- the redder bull calf is available for nearly free to get him shown.  Willing to work out a deal to get him into someone's hands. 

The first picture was taken right after weaning- when Redline was young, green, and un-exposed to grain.  The 2nd picture is a mature photo (not a very good one), but it shows him this spring right after green-up. 

The calves are put together well and have plenty of style.

I'm waiting on more calf pictures to arrive any day...

The calves really come on after 2 months of age- they can be born pretty lanky... which is why we're using him on heifers-- despite his actual BW. 

The offer stands to spread some juice around on a trial basis, real cheap like...

Well,if hes at Robstens the calves oughta be good-hes been breeding good cattle with maine in them for over 20 years that I know of-His brother (or cousin) Arden Prehiem produced some stone GREAT ones-Cedar Curve Farrah (National Champ Female) and Cedar Curve Colleen,were 2 of many-all of which were appendix x fullblood maine. O0

Arden was a brother.  The Cedar Curve days were a partnership.

I'm impressed with him, but few would be anymore; I have learned tons though. 

FYI- We had the reserve Grand Bull at the American Royal last fall that happened to be a solid red PB Maine Bull. We have his half sister and full brother (et)  ready for Junior Nationals in a week. They are solid red too.

We have had a ton of interest in our red calves.
