I'm attending a conference in Buenos Aires but hoping to have some time to travel a little afterwards. I would love to visit some bigger ranches etc.

Congrats TDU on your win!  This is a great accomplishment!  I am hoping to go to the Palermo show in Argentina in late July so maybe I can check out a few places for you.. haha. Stumpy, on SP, has been to Argentina a few times so hopefully he will see this and possibly comment.

i went 14 yrs ago on a grazing tour.. went with a delegation from Ohio and Nebraska.  12 day trip... You must see the Linnears livestock  market. ... I would try and contact an ag tour company in Argentina and get connections that way... I will say that trip changed my thinking and molded my decisions on how I wantd my cow herd to look and how I wanted it to perform... One thing we all came to realize was that if Argentina was bigger the global beef business would be much different!

The large grazing operations and the MIG technology and practices were way ahead of us here in the USA.

I traveled to Argentina with a group of farmers 12-14 years ago. Very interesting place.  Find a travel company.

We visted more farms than ranches, bigger acreages, but very well managed places.  I only wish I had a good contact for you after this amount of time....

We leearned a great deal, although I must admit I haven't eaten blood sausage since....
