  Beet pulp won't put sheen in the hair. You need to use something with fat in it for hair coat. Beet pulp will stretch the rib & flank.

I feed beet pulp every day after I wean.  Cab is right, you don't want to feed beet pulp if you want the hair to shine, you feed it to increase the capacity of the rumen and that will increase the spring of rib and deepen the flank.

Yes, beet pulp will add alot more fiber to the diet and will expand in the stomach. Silage is high in fiber but its also pretty hot and when overfed will mess up the rumen instead of helping it.
