For Charolais I would definitely say Wyoming Wind, bred by Lindskov-Thiel.  He has sold the most semen, has kicked serious but in the show ring and in the pasture, and has thousands of sons and daughters in production.  There are a couple of younger bulls that are up and coming but he is definitely the king for now.

Carpe Diem is sired by Tank, a Heat Seeker son. How does he make Hereford all time greatest. Glad I'm not a Hereford breeder. That would be offensive to me. Just kidding about it being offensive.

Warhorse?  I didn't think he was noted for anything but spreading genetic defects.  In my opinion, the only way he would be first in line is if you were placing the class from the bottom up.  He may have been used a little bit, I even tried him with no success, but I just don't see his name in any pedigrees anymore.

Carpe Diem is definatly not the best bull for herefords. ( He is a cross bred)

This topic has been discussed lots of times on here before.  In my opinion, the most influential Shorthorn bull in history would be Trump.  Even those that don't like him can't argue with the numbers.  He's been the sire or grandsire of the most popular Shorthorns in the U.S. for nearly 20 years and will continue to do so until something better comes along.  There are a lot of good cattle out there without Trump in their background, but there will probably never be another line with such widespread use in my lifetime.  We got started in Shorthorns in 1963 and I've lived through Bapton Constructor, TPS Coronet Leader 21st, Dividend, the Clark and Columbus craze, and other noteable lines too numerous to mention.  In the past 50 years, no other line comes close to the influence of Trump.  He evidently works for somebody.

Well "best" is going to be subjective. It all depends on what a guy/gal looks for in cattle. Everyone views something different as most important. So there are going to be a ton of different responses here.
I would agree with your list for the most part with the exception of the Hereford and Shorthorn.
I dont know Shorthorn genetics enough to really make a decision on who is best, but I definately dont think Warhorse should be in there.
For Herefords I would have to agree with Remital Online, he has produced some dang good Hereford cattle.  And as was stated earlier Carpe Dieme is a crosbred, clubby sire, not a Hereford.

But I see where your list came from, your entire list is pretty clubby oriented, and Carpe Dieme has thrown a lot of steers that did well in the Hereford ring, and lets face it, the vast majority of the steers making it in the breed rings are not purebreds.

You defiantly got charolais right

You could argue that Cunia is the most influential bull in the Shorthorn breed since he's a generation closer than Dividend in Trump's pedigree if you want to go that route.

Warhorse shouldn't even be on the top 5 clubby Shorthorn list.  He was 3-pieced and so are his calves.  There have been a few good ones, but nothing like Double Stuff.  I think it has to be Trump for the most popular Shorthorn bull.  We don't even have any Trump cows anymore, but we showed a few Trump heifers that would knock the socks off of most stuff in the show ring.  In the pasture, Sonny has done a much better job than his daddy.  At this rate, and having been cloned, Solution is well on his way to being the most dominant Shorthorn bull.

I have changed the hereford (agree not fair to have carpe diem as he is x-bred) and shorthorn (forgot about double stuff).  Let the arguments keep coming!

Haha I think in my opinion I now have it right.  ;D

What puts Double Stuff over Trump, Sonny, Improver, Solution, or Rodeo Drive for you?  I would go so far as to say that I prefer Double Vision over Double Stuff, just because we've actually had some good DV cows.
