I am not gonna discount anybody that has been listed in this entire discussion, everyone listed are very very good fitters and I wouldnt hesitate to turn a single one of them loose on the best calves out there.  But as was stated earlier, there are a ton of folks out there that can hang with everyone one of them, a big part of how well known you get is the cattle and clients you are lucky enough to get to work with.  Of course the people working on all these big time champion cattle are great and are well known.  But there are a lot of guys out there dressin em on show day that not a single one of you would probably know their name, because they have never had the breaks to get their name out there, but could still hang right there with most everyone listed on here, and could probably out do a lot of them on here.  This is one of those post where we could make it about a million pages long if we listed everybody capable, but the only ones that will get listed are the ones that had their break and everyone flocked to them, I think for every good, well known fitter out there today, there are probably 20 or 30 waiting in the wings that could do just as good a job, they are just waiting on the opportunity to work on that calf that is going to get them known.  If you look real deep though, this is the way it is in every industry.  Skill and hard work are very big parts of being successful.  But being lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time is also a big part.

This is very true....Nobody ever mentioned the familyies that fit there own calves. They might not do a great job at it like all of the "professionals" out there, but really the families fitting there own cattle are the best fitters because they're working together as a team and are creating memories that will last a lifetime. Especially when they fit a calf that does good! lol
