Ours is thru Sheila Jensen. Check out Jensenbros.net & look for the insurance tab. I think the rates are pretty standard...she's been good to work with.

We also use Sheila Jensen.  Luckily we haven't had any claims but she is very easy to work with.

It's normally just mortality unless you have a special kind of policy. I've never talked to anybody who covered any type of injury, loss of use, or liability under a regular policy except in an extreme case where an animal has to be put down due to severe injury. If the animal is salvageable...not covered.

We used to have Farm Bureau, but didn't cover individual cows that we paid good money for, so swithched to Indiana's Farmers Mutual because we can put each show cow or steer on a individual basis.  If something does happen to them, we will get the value of the cow back, not the market value. We do have to have the cow autopsied by the vet if we make a claim though.
