Carlson, it sounds like you are trying to learn something and asking lots of questions that people on here may not be able to answer with out some information on your part. Do you know the TH and PHA status on your cows? I am not sure to many folks are going to make a suggestion with out this info, and if they are carriers it narrows you selection a bunch. Is your Red cow sired by HW or a son? What have you bred these cows to before and what was the results? What kind of budget do you have for semen? Is there anything about the cows and any previous progeny that you really disliked or liked?

We all understand that you want a powerful calf but if they can't walk then your wasting your time and money. I believe folks on here will be happy to help and give you great advice if you will answer some questions and not just keep running over every bull related thread. Make some sense about what you want and what you have so the members on here can give you the answers you are looking for.

Your young and full of questions, that's great but slow down a little listen to the answers and make your questions count.

Then make a list of your top 2 or 3 bulls and make your decision.

I know you asked about Rogers bulls so I will mention that I have had good luck with One & Only and he is a double clean bull and would give you a double shot of HW, a bull that I have never bred to because I don't feel like he fits my cows is Hired Man, the few calves that I have actually seen from him were pretty good and he is also clean so you wouldn't need to worry about the TH and PHA. I am sure some one on here would have a better idea about Hired Man.

In my opinion I agree that there is a alot of really good bulls out there but I do tend to lean torn Rodgers and Lautners bulls when we choose our bulls because we like what they have to offer. And Carlson good for you for asking questions but never second guess your first instinct is what ive learned from this business. Im only 19 and I am now picking bulls to breed to our cows and hired to choose bulls for another clubby producer. Best thing to do is look at each cow individually... See what they lack and find a bull that has what that cow lacks. Never stop asking questions but never second guess yourself over and over again on one cow... Go with your gut! Hope this helps ya just my opinion....

I have used hairy bear and crimson tide on my heatwave females and have had pretty good luck.  both bulls are thf but crimson tide is phac but wont bother a heatwave female.

Carlson, it sounds to me that you are looking to breed for terminal calves (steers). I agree with Mtnman, the 1st thing I would do if I were you is have your cows tested for TH/PHA, is worth the money, all of mine have been tested and I only have 1 cow that is TH positive, so I have lots of breeding options out there. I would not be afraid to giving a double dose of heat wave if you breed to a son of his but have your cows tested. Ali can sometimes work on HW cows, but I like to use him on TH positive cow cause he is TH negative. I know alot of people on here don't like breeding for TH but your show winners are USUALLY TH positive. If your cows are TH negative and your using TH negative bulls, the calves will be TH negative and will not have the muscle build of the TH positive calves. Second, if you can afford it, try and get some nice replacement heifers or cows, possibly Maine/Angus crosses or Sim/Angus crosses for some cows for producing club calves. I like both of those crosses as they seem to click really good with HW genetics. But if you are going to play the club calf game, be prepared to assist during calving. So go get your cows tested, once you know that people can give you more recommendations.
