Looking to buy another truck.  I have a 2008 Ford F-250 that I am thinking about selling and was wondering what everyone thoughts on some trucks.  I want a diesel 3/4 ton with 4 door and 4x4.  I will use the truck to go to work and run around in plus pull my 28ft stock trailer to shows.  I like to know about fuel mileage on the trucks.

Get a Dodge. I have a 2012 F350, and am already considering trading on an equivalent dodge. The Ford gets 15 Pulling a 28 x 8 Elite, 17 empty in town 20-21 on the road. Wish I had my 2008 dodge back everyday, but the tranny (auto), was shot and I couldn't see putting all the maintenance into a 3 year old truck that had 100,000 hard hard miles on it.

this will never happen, but it should would save the environment if you could replace components a little easier.

A. Everyone has a different perspective on what the "best" pickup is. B. Do your own research on other websites other than steer planet. Good luck finding one!

We just bought a 2011 Ford F150 with the ecoboost.  Gets 19-20 mpg around town and has power out the wazoo.  We pull a 20ft gooseneck showtrailer and you hardly know it's back there. LOVE it.  We have the four door and the back seat is huge.  Rear seats fold up so it's like having an SUV to haul groceries.

That's my next truck.  I know they did extensive testing on the turbos and they were near bulletproof even at extreme egts.

i LOVE my dodge.... great mileage, lots of power, and VERY reliable.... i like fords but i just don't trust the motors they have came out with since leaving the 7.3 liter. if you can buy a 7.3 liter then jump on it as long as everything else checks out... but again i really do love my dodge and i will probably never sell it... it has never let me down... but in the end its about personal preference

Got a 2011 Ford 350 4x4 diesel. Super impressed with the power, quiet ride and fuel economy. I have drove Chevs for over 20 years, and decided I would try another brand. I liked the dodge, but found it less comfortable and more noisy. It was when I spoke with a cousin who is a mechanic, that made my decision easier. He said the Ford was the most reliable on the road right now. The other good reason was that the Ford dealer was willing to deal on the 2011's he had left on the lot and he reduced the price by $22,000. The Dodge dealer couldn't come close and was $11,000 higher.  Glad I made the decision I did.

I have an 03 dodge (5.9) and will never get rid of it. My dad just got rid of his and bought a 2012 dodge ram 2500 auto with 4wd (diesel). It seems to have a lot more power than mine and is super quite compared to my 5.9. He is getting bout 18 or 19 mpg empty and bout 13 or 14 pulling our 20ft alum trailer loaded.

I really like my chevy until this year.  Four years old 77,000 miles and I have just spend $1,600 on the front end.  Mechanic tells me that the lack of grease certs is causing all kinds of problems.  Replaced all the ball joints, a cv boot etc.  New ball joints have grease certs!!!

Next truck will not be a chevy.
